    Good, Not Quite Great

    Date: Jun 30 2021

Summary: Kerio Connect has been a good solution for us. There are some minor user interface things that would really elevate the product but nothing that's a deal breaker. We plan to continue using Kerio Connect for the foreseeable future!

Positive: Kerio is fairly user-friendly; all the usual functionality you would expect in an email client are straight-forward and fairly easy to find. The shareable calendars are always appreciated, and the chat feature means we don't have to spring for another product.

Negative: We experience some hit-or-miss bugs when we use the webmail version - the most persistent being that emails that have been opened still appear as Unread in my inbox.

    Very good Mail server, but....

    Date: Feb 12 2026

Summary: I have implemented and used Kerio Connect for more than 10 year and the mailserver is very good. It runs on Linux and Windows and has a variety of security measures. It is truly an enterprise worth solution equal to Exchange. But, sinds it is soled to GFI the costs doubled exponentially every year forcing to use their cloud solutions and once your license is expired you are locked out of anything not able to rescue or migrate your mail. This all is vendor locking and highjacking of GFI. The software itself is excellent but not worth the money anymore. It's a shame and another story of companies forcing you to do their bidding.

    Positive: Enterprise mail server.
    Runs on Linux and Windows
    Very stable
    Very easy to manage
    Many security features
    Very good GUI

Negative: Exponentially increasing of license costs every year.
    Vendor locking.
Lockout of your own data after license expires.
    Overall bad support.
Making a good product bad through license model.
