The Net-MetriXs analyzer probe is a software application that plays a crucial role in the NET-xTVMS system, which is designed for the real-time oversight of IPTV services. It can be installed on various customer devices, such as CPUs, PCs, or servers, at locations chosen by the customer, like a headend. This versatile probe is capable of monitoring different types of streams, including DVB-C/S/T/H, analog PAL, and OTT streams. Operating on a Linux platform, the IPTV probe offers extensive scalability, enabling it to monitor anywhere from a handful to several hundred multicast streams effectively. It checks the quality of both the physical and transport layers for optional DVB-C/DVB-T/DVB-S/DVB-H/Analog PAL interfaces, provided that the appropriate PCI-E cards are installed. The probe captures and retains more than 30 transport metrics, which encompass TR101290 priority levels 1 and 2, packet loss rate, PCR jitter, and additional parameters.
